| The low price promotion will not have any effect on the quality if controlled by the Chinese government. And I think Chinese government's intial aim of producing them is to advocate the spirit of Beijing Olympics rather than make profits out of them. So price just doesn't matter. |

| I think products' price reducing is a market regulation of government. As is advantageous to consumers, it should be regarded as public welfare. With tightenedly supervising, quality consequence will not be a big problem. |

The products now are sold at high prices and are of bad qualities. There is no doubts that low price products will be of low qualities.

Olympic merchandise is usually overpriced.
Often this merchandise is made in China anyway, but the price is marked up at the point of sale.
If China can keep the prices low, and maintain quality, then I feel they will sell more goods, hopefully employ more people making the goods, and may set a good example for future Olympic merchandise pricing.
A good move, it seems, by the Beijing Olympic authorities. |

I have found that here in China you can find low prices and good quality.
That is one of the reasons that China has been so competitive.
