There comes a time, once in a while, when the best of accolades needs only be expressed by silent awe.
Yet it would be impossible to hold the tongue because so much has to be said in so little space and time for the Opening.
Drawing inspiration from the condensation of China's History so magnificently presented, I condense my praise by simply saying it was a performance par excellence and my congratulations by simply saying well done and my joy by just simply watching the Opening again!

I say retire the award for the best Opening Ceremony. None will ever surpass that of the 2008 Beijing Olympics -- unless another one is held somewhere else in China -- in Shanghai, for example, in the year 2028.

What a wonderful show, unbelievably well done, I had to see it two times yesterday as it was repeated on the sports station a few hours after the direct transmission! May the Olympic Games be of the very best and may all visitors take home with them the memory of a beautiful country filled with beautiful people who are proud of their country and themselves. God Bless you all! I am looking forward to my next visit to China as my first visit nearly two years ago put me in a spin for over 6 months, such an impression it had made one me!
