Hi,
I am one of the bagpipers from Scotland who played in the Birds Nest on Friday, can anyone tell me if there is any footage of the piper playing in the holding area, as this was me. Some of my friends saw it on CCTV while in Beijing on Saturday, but sadly I never, It would be good to see. Before I close I would just like to thank the Chinese organizers of the opening ceremony, for inviting us to participate in what was definatley the Greatest show on Earth......thanks for the memories I will be back............JMB

The Chinese people have done a fantastic job bringing the best Olympics in history to the world. I feel very sorry about the treatment that some countries gave the Torch Relay. Those people do not know the truth that Tibet is very free and that the Chinese government has raised the living standard and provides a huge budget to Tibet. The terrorism of the Dali Lama and his criminals should be denounced by the world community. I know the facts because of my many travels to China. I apologize for the arrogance and ignorance of the US leaders and their disrespect towards China and her people.

It is only those disgruntled minority that have tried to thwart the success of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.Some of these destructive elements lack basic manners and do not behave in a way that guests should believe. What a powerful opening ceremony! It did not show an ideological bias, but it made the statement that a country that rises on the power of it's people, with solidarity and social cohesion, can accomplish great things. It was not about individuals, but about the unified power of the people, as they support the development of a new world of peace and prosperity with social harmony! China will lead the way, because it has an emerging social and ecological awareness that is based on it's own philosophy and history. Power to the People, at last, well done!
